Outage Information
Hart EMC's goal is to provide you with uninterrupted electricity 100% of the time, but we all know that nothing is perfect. Whatever the reason, we are ready around the clock to restore your power as soon as possible.
Hart EMC uses a sophisticated computer software package called Contact OMS to manage all aspects of each outage. When a member calls to report an outage, Contact OMS is used to log the call and to verify member contact information and address. Your information is used along with that of other callers, data sent form each meter, and data sent from each electrical substation to direct service crews to the source of the outage. Once power has been restored a permanent outage history is made for each member detailing the cause of the outage. This data is then used by Hart EMC to better understand the nature of outages and to help prevent future outages.
Currently there are approximately 31 members out of power and 22 members have called to report outages at the moment.
The Real-Time Outage Graph
The Real-Time Outage Graph shows the Hart EMC system outage state for the last 24 hours from the time that you requested the graph. By checking the box next to Outage Calls, you can see the number of outage reports that have been made. The “Members Out” value may be higher than the “Calls”. This is because not all members may call to report the outage.
Outage Location Map
;
This map does not show individual outages. It only shows wider area outages that are due to a blown fuse or a breaker trip where 10 or more members are out. Click here to see a map of the current outages.
Member Outage History
By entering your account number and clicking Submit you can see the outage history for that account at its current location. If you have more than one meter, each one will have its own account number. This data is available starting January 1, 2000. If you would like to see outage histories further back please give us a call.”
Outage Metrics

These values show historical data for recent date ranges. The “High Water Mark” is the highest number of members that were concurrently out of power for the time shown. The “Total Out” gives the total number of individual members out of power for the date/time range given.
