Outage Information
Hart EMC's goal is to provide you with uninterrupted electricity 100% of the
time, but we all know that nothing is perfect. Whatever the reason, we are
ready around the clock to restore your power as soon as possible.
Hart EMC uses a sophisticated computer software package called
Contact OMS to manage all aspects of each outage. When a member calls to
report an outage, Contact OMS is used to log the call and to verify member
contact information and address. This information is used along with other
callers and data from automated monitoring systems to direct service crews to
the source of the outage. Once power has been restored a permanent outage
history is made for each member detailing the cause of the outage. This data is
then used by Hart EMC to better understand the nature of outages and to help
prevent future outages.
The
Real-Time Outage Graph. This graph shows the Hart EMC system
outage state for the last 24 hours from the time that you requested the graph.
There is also data on the number of members that has called in to report
outages and the total number of members without power. The “Hart EMC members
without power” value may be higher than the “active outage calls”. This is
because not all members may call to report the outage. Click
here to see the Real-Time Outage Graph.
Outage
Location Map. This map does not show individual outages. It only
shows wider area outages that are due to a blown fuse or a breaker trip. Click
here to see a map of the current outages.
Outage
Metrics. These values show historical data for recent date
ranges. The “High Water Mark” is the highest number of members that were
concurrently out of power for the time shown. The “Total Out” gives the total
number of individual members out of power for the date/time range given.
