Bright Ideas Grant

Hart EMC and Hart EMC Foundation, Inc. support education of our youth and our schools through a variety of scholarships, grants and learning opportunities. Hart EMC Foundation is seeking applications from area educators serving grades K-12 in public schools. Bright Ideas grants will provide educators with funding of up to $1,000 per grant for innovative classroom projects that benefit students and would not otherwise be covered by school budgets. Bright Ideas will finance a variety of hands-on projects, including music, art, history, language, reading, science, math, and information technology. Proposals can come from any area of the curriculum.

Bright Ideas Grant Program is made possible thru the use of unclaimed capital credits. The Georgia legislature passed HB431 allowing cooperatives to use unclaimed capital credits within their service area for the benefit of charitable causes, economic development and education. Hart EMC’s board of directors chose to use the funds for Hart EMC Foundation Scholarships and Bright Ideas.
